Advising Fellow
As a scholar, I study Francophone literature and film through feminist and postcolonial lenses. I bring the insights from my intersectional research into the classroom by drawing on African, Asian, and Black feminist theory in order to foster a sense of care, community, and belonging amongst students. My goal as an educator is to encourage students to continue questioning what is “normal” or taken for granted. Learning should extend beyond the classroom as we think critically about society and work together toward envisioning its improvement.
