Matt Weber
I really thought I was pretty good at school until I took Macroeconomics my first year in college and received a D+. It was the first grade below an A- I had ever received and it led me to reshape the story of myself as student and learner. College can be a time of reinvention and renewal, but the beauty of this stage of life is the opportunity to self author. To re-prioritize what carries meaning, how to weight the world, and strategize over best uses of time and treasure. This ethos has led me to pursue multiple disciplines, from American Studies to film, hosting TV shows, interviewing Muppets, writing books about love and culture, defending a disseration on the power of mascots, building a backyard church for my children, and trying to approach each community I am part of with a sense of whimsy, wonder, and hard work.
For me, that new community is now Engagements -- and it is my joy to be on this new journey with you all together. And I promise, I will never, ever try to teach you Macroeconomics.
