My work in mathematics uncovers hidden order in seemingly random phenomena - from crystal growth and traffic models to quantum systems - by leveraging exact formulas and algebraic structures. Growing up, I encountered rigorous mathematics in middle school, and it quickly became a language through which I saw both order and creativity. To me, math has never just been about calculation; it’s about curiosity, the elegance of reasoning, and the thrill of understanding deep patterns in the world around us. As a College Fellow, I’m excited to introduce students to this vision of mathematics - not as a collection of rigid formulas to memorize or tests to pass, but as an imaginative discipline rooted in exploration and discovery. I hope students leave our classroom not only seeing math differently but also feeling empowered to question assumptions, challenge ideas, and experience firsthand the unexpected beauty that rigorous thinking can uncover.
