Jeff Casey

I'm a scholar and artist with a diverse set of academic interests. Before coming to UVA, I directed a small theatre program in Vermont. I have also taught across a wide away of academic areas, including English, composition, theatre, creative writing, film studies, gender studies, and refugee studies. I bring to my teaching an equally gregarious approach, drawing on various fields of study and scholarly methodologies. In the Engagements, I aim to help students discover (or rediscover) their sense of wonder and joy at learning through the liberal arts.
