Liberal Arts & ... is a series of talks organized by UVA Advising to help Engagements students explore how their Liberal Arts education is integral to different majors, careers, and graduate programs.

Come learn how your major relates to future career opportunities, how to approach studying for new subjects, and why your first years are a great time to try something new in college! In this interactive workshop, students will explore ways to think about selecting a major, to structure that exploration with the tools of the Disciplines and Literacies, and to gain familiarity with resources on Grounds for career and academic support.
Featuring guided discussion and learning activities with Hunter Finch, Senior Director of the Career Center, and Melanie Belt, College Life Skills Coach!

Special guests Sharice Welch (McIntire Admissions) and Roger Martin (McIntire Director of Undergraduate Programs) will be guest panelists in the Liberal Arts and Commerce event. Come hear their insights on how a liberal arts education supports a commerce-focused education and career. Audience members will be invited to ask their own questions as well.
