Do you ever wish you could fall into a book the way you did as a kid—before your phone buzzed every two minutes and reading became another task on a to-do list? Learning to Read Again offers a short, immersive reset for your reading life. Drawing inspiration from occupational therapy, we’ll explore how posture, pace, attention, and environment shape your ability to read deeply, think critically, and engage ethically. Through a mix of narrative, nonfiction, and lived experience, we’ll rebuild the stamina, strategies, and joy that support real reading—and real ethical reflection. Along the way, you’ll try out sensory reading labs, library read-ins, flow-state journaling, and personalized “rehab plans” to take with you into your college career. This course will challenge your habits and stretch your imagination, all while helping you rediscover reading as a way to live a more thoughtful, connected life.
